Objectives:
- The Vice President is responsible for the success in the Asia-Pacific region for the specialty chemical business serving the semiconductor industry. This is a product line within the overall portfolio of the company.
- In order to provide a more strategic focus and achieve the goals, the company needs to develop a cross-regional product management team that will consistent of a product manager leader in each Asia country. These PM leaders will report into the PM head based in Shanghai.
- The general objectives for creating this new team include: ➢ Achieve growth that beats the industry growth rate ➢ Enhance their overall effectiveness in the market ➢ Improve profit through coordinating pricing and purchasing activities ➢ Reduce internal cycle times ➢ Improve cross-country collaboration and knowledge sharing ➢ Increase influence with the central R&D function ➢ Deliver products that meet customer needs and capture market opportunities.
